Denim & Neutrals

I don’t always wear denim, but when I do….

Okay, lets face it, because I live in Miami, I’m probably the furthest thing from a denim girl there is. I don’t usually wear denim due to the hot and sometimes humid climate in Miami, but when I do…..It’s the chic combo of denim and Neutrals for the win! It’s the perfect weekend look for those days where you want to be somewhere in the middle of dressed up enough for a night full of escapades out and about, but casual enough for the night to take you just about anywhere….

It’s true, Chicwish strikes again. I’ve been crushing on this tie top since the day i got it. It’s no wonder Chicwish is currently one of my favorite online stores. They’re affordable, carry stylish seasonal pieces, and never seem to disappoint. I found myself crushing on the detailing in the top so much, I just had to order the top for the second time, but this time, in gingham print.

When Styling a solid top, It’s always a good idea to give the look a little more detailing with distressed denim. In my opinion, solid denim would have made this look a bit too boring, it’s the added distressed detailing that really makes the outfit come together. When it comes to basic and solid pieces, distressed denim is your new best friend ladies. To top off the look I styled the top and denim with my fav pair of camel colored thigh highs, clutch to match (which really ties in the color combo) and of course, my beloved tan nautical hat. Details are everything, and should never be underestimated.

Unfortunately, the boots were bought last season and I had trouble finding a good quality similar pair, so I linked the only pair I could find that would also work with this look.
