Goodbye twenties, hello thirty!
Thirty, what a bittersweet feeling. As sad as I am to kiss my 20’s goodbye, i’m also overwhelmed with the feelings of excitment and confidence that the best is yet to come, and that 30 really is the new 20!
Lets face it, goodbyes are never easy, and as I sit here and reflect on my twenites, I realize they could never possibly be forgotten or replaced. It was during this decade of my life I quickly realized my passion for travel and ceased every opportunity to do so, learned more valuable life lessons than I could possibly count, made countless lifelong friendships and memories, found and became engaged to the man of my dreams, moved to another continent all in the name of love, embarked on new adventures, submerged myself in a new culture and language, adopted new ways of thinking, learned to forgive and forget, and most importantly, grew and developed much more as a human and as an individual.
If my twenties ever taught me anything at all, they’ve taught me to be grateful. I’m grateful for each and every passing moment in my life, no matter how good or bad, big or small, because it’s each individual moment that lead me to where I am today and the person I’ve grown to be. i’m grateful for my past, present, and future and all the valuable lessons learned along the way. What didn’t kill me only made me stronger, and with some of my life’s greatest sacrifices came even greater reward. They’ve taught me that life is a journey meant to be explored, to never settle, and most importantly, to never live with one single regret.
My twenties were undeniably unforgettable, but thirties….I know the best is yet to come!
